THE ROLE
As a Legal Secretary, your main responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and process billing documentation, ensuring accuracy in invoicing clients and tracking payments in a timely manner
- Assist in preparing and organizing case files, including gathering evidence, exhibits, and other necessary documentation
- Provide administrative support to legal professionals, including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence
- Oversee diary management, scheduling and prioritizing appointments, meetings, and court dates to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials, maintaining professional and clear communication.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking itineraries, accommodations, and transportation for legal team members
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion at all times
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in litigation, with a strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation
- Proven experience in billing, including preparation, invoicing, and tracking payments accurately
- Solid experience in managing filing systems end to end, ensuring all legal documents are organized and easily accessible
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, legal teams, and external stakeholders professionally
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a focus on providing high-quality administrative support
