The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Float Legal Assistant to join the Sydney office, supporting both transactional and litigation-based teams. This full-time position is ideal for someone seeking variety and the chance to develop their skills across multiple practice areas.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering phone calls and assisting with client inquiries.
  • Managing diaries and coordinating schedules.
  • Dictaphone typing and document preparation.
  • Assisting with billing and financial processes.
  • File management and archiving.
  • Coordinating team meetings and events.
  • Providing general administrative support as needed.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a legal assistant, with exposure to both litigation and transactional practices being highly regarded.
  • Availability to work full-time (part-time arrangements will not be considered).
  • Proficiency in MS Word and document formatting.
  • Excellent communication and diary management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A client-focused mindset and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
This role is particularly suited to students or early-career professionals with at least 2 years of general work experience who are eager to contribute to a dynamic legal team.
